Hi everyone, my name is Tina King, most of you know me as a happy, go lucky person. But these past few years have taken my sunshine away. To be honest, I have struggled with anxiety and depression since high school. I just had multiple outlets and I hid it. After college my depression and anxiety grew worst. Some days I could not get out of bed. I was diagnosed with severe major depressive disorder, severe anxiety, and PTSD.
Over the past 3.5 years I've been in counseling and taking medication but I am still struggling with moderate depression and anxiety. My psychiatrist recommended Ketamine Therapy which helps create new neural pathways in the brain. The problem is that my insurance does not cover it. Each session is $360 per session. There are 6 sessions for 2 weeks ($2160) and then 1-2 sessions per month. The amount I am seeking will cover the first 6 sessions, Uber costs (I won't be able to drive since I may dissociate), and the 24 hours I won't be at work for those 6 sessions. After the first 6 sessions I will be able to afford it myself.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. I hope this is the pathway back to happiness.
