UPDATE: Just want to say a big thank you to each and every one of you who have donated so far, the kids have had a recent very generous donation from a wonderful person who is not known to Kerry or the family, there are some very kind wonderful Hero’s out there ❤️ please keep sharing as every bit is helping tremendously.
UPDATE: Sad news unfortunately, it now looks as though the house that Kerry’s children are living in will most likely be taken away from them due to local council rules, just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, there is most likely going to be rehoming involved the family have been advised. The council have rules and that’s what they’re following so far. The kids are going to be in more upheaval than originally thought and need a lot more support through the coming months, the youngest being just 11 years old.
Hi my name is Karen and I want to tell you about a special person who I had the pleasure of being best friends with since high school, she was the kind of person who everyone that met her wanted to be around, such a big heart and the most hilarious person I ever knew, she would make you laugh at the most inappropriate of times, you know when you shouldn’t be laughing and then that person just says that one thing and you know you’re done for, new pants needed, well that was my Kezza.
We were inseparable all through high school and then she went on to have five beautiful children, unfortunately little Blake was taken from her early on, she will be so happy to see him once again as that truely broke her heart now that she’s up there with him.
She has left us all down here heartbroken now and her youngest being only 11 really needs some help and guidance with navigating this new life without their mother and also towards funeral costs if needs be.
That is why I am asking for your help with this fundraiser so even though I feel so helpless I am trying to help in some way.
Let me tell you a little more about how Kezza was taken away from us and her children so prematurely, March of 2025 she had some investigations into gall stones and all was thought to be standard practice of just whipping out the gall bladder, very common operation, I’ve had it done myself and I’m sure you all know of someone who has had this done, her son even had his removed not long before this. Anyway, Kez never had been abroad and she decided to take the plunge and was so excited to take the kids away for a family holiday in Turkey, they had the best time, made some amazing memories and met some life long new friends which is typical of Kez, I told you about her infectious personality. Anyway when she came home there on the doorstep were the dreaded letters telling her they need more tests, we all reassured her that it will be fine, it’s just a gall bladder operation, they advised her that it looked very suspicious and that they were going to take it all out, get rid of what ever it was and and this point said it’s most likely cancer, the next part really dragged on which I truely believe is why she was taken, because they left her waiting, she waited and waited for that operation which took months to get done, I think it was September when they said they were going to remove it. She woke from that surgery messaging us all that she was so happy the nightmare was over and all done, however this was followed by another message a while later to say the surgeon had been to see her and informed her that the cancer had invaded further into her body and that they had to leave it there. Heart broken, she was beside herself.
How cruel to be told over and over and reassured you can be fixed to then be let down.
She battled through chemo and she was trying so hard to be positive, unfortunately she was just so ill with the steroids and chemo but even in her last weeks of being with us she took two of her children away for a break just to try and give them some last memories before they headed back to school when she should have been in palatine care.
She loved with all her heart and hopefully I can raise some funds for a good send off and for the children left behind, especially the younger two who are now lost without her.
