You have all been with me and Marvin during a rough few years.

The allergies and chronic ear infections leading to his ear canals being removed last year, the nerve pain afterwards.

This year his recurring tummy upsets and then the neck abscess, and then a limp and him developing neck pain and going down hill so rapidly.

I know you may have read my posts about insurance, but I need to tell you more.

Marvin was very well insured, £12,000 per condition/year. Despite that his policy maxed out half way through the policy year and didn’t renew till well into this year.

This meant that I had to pay for vet visits (lots of them), multiple drugs every month including allergy drugs, steroids, painkillers for the nerve pain after his surgery, more painkillers for a limp, antihistamines, obscure antibiotics because of his very exciting drug resistant bugs post op, and more different painkillers including ketamine injections over months to desensitise his nerves and reset them. Not forgetting I had to pay for his immunotherapy vaccine.

I also had to pay for imaging of his ears to try and pin down the cause of his nerve pain. It went on and on and on.

Then his policy renewed. I’ve had to pay so many insurance excesses (one for each condition)because of his multiple problems this year, the allergies, the repeated tummy upsets, the neck abscess a couple of months ago, a limp (I can’t remember if they charged for that one), and now his neck problem.

I also have been paying a fortune every month for his prescription food.

The last 18 months have been financial hell, I’ve had some help off a wonderful friend, but I’ve used all my savings and had to sell my jewellery to keep things going.

I’m now in a position where I’m worried about paying the last insurance excess and for his cremation even though I went for the cheapest option.

I have had a couple of people suggesting I launch a go fund me, and one told me off for not asking before.

So, would you be kind enough considering helping me cover Marvin’s costs and get things back on an even keel. I have spent so much on Marvin that I’ve neglected essentials such as the tap in the bathroom which runs continuously and I couldn’t afford to replace, the car, a decent coat, clothes.

I’m not expecting anything, but would be enormously grateful for anything that you can offer. I’m truly grateful for all the support over the past few days, it’s meant so much that Marvin was so loved.

What I chiefly want to say is please don’t leave yourself short to try and help me.
