A while ago, I lost my wife Kerry after a short but incredibly brave battle with cancer.
Kerry was a kind, warm, and thoughtful person who meant the world to so many people. She loved the simple things in life—fresh air, peaceful places, and being close to nature. One place that always stood out was Kenfig Nature Reserve, especially looking out towards the sea.
In her memory, I want to create a lasting place where people can sit, reflect, and remember—not just Kerry, but their own loved ones too. The plan is to install a memorial bench at Kenfig Nature Reserve, positioned so it overlooks the sea—somewhere peaceful, just as she would have liked.
This isn’t just about a bench. It’s about creating a place of comfort. A place where people can pause, breathe, and feel close to those they’ve lost.
Any funds raised will go towards:
* The memorial bench itself
* Installation and permissions
* A plaque in Kerry’s name
* Any additional costs required by the reserve
If we raise more than needed, any extra will be donated to causes connected to Kerry or the nature reserve.
I know times are tough, and there’s absolutely no pressure—but if you’re able to contribute or even just share this page, it would mean a great deal.
Thank you for helping create something lasting in Kerry’s memory.
