My name is Tate Garrett and I'm making this Go Fund Me for my dad who had a unexpected medical accident while vacationing with my mom, in Mexico. We're not sure yet if it was a heart issue or a stroke but because the accident happened while he was out swimming he nearly drowned, requiring him to be sedated and intubated for more than a week. During that time he was transferred out of Mexico and back to the US, and we're working on moving him from Florida to Spokane, closer to home. My Mom has been with my Dad this entire time and is faithfully helping him in his time of need.

This Go Fund Me is to help cover all the expenses surrounding this, like the transfer costs between hospitals in the US, which the insurance does not want to cover, the copays for the insurance, and the fact that my dad is self-employed, meaning that he doesn't have paid sick time.
