Kerrie's Appalachian Trail Journey

Hi! Thank you for supporting my goal of hiking the 3500km Appalachian Trail. This hike has been a dream of mine since the turn of the century and 2018 is finally the time to make it happen.
Although I will be hiking this trail alone, I couldn't do it without teamwork. My friends, family, and coworkers have already given the gift of encouragement. My hiking buddies have given me the gift of training - a solid decade of tough, character-building hikes in remote locations. Many of my West African friends have also taught me lessons of patience and determination. On a solo basis, I've prepared myself mentally and physically by completing multi-day hikes of Canada's West Coast Trail, Juan de Fuca Trail, and several half-marathons.
Completing the Appalachian Trail is both a dream and a daunting personal goal. Your gift will help to cover the cost of camping supplies, transportation, insurance costs, or just an extra chocolate bar on a long climb. Any contribution, no matter how small or large, will be received with my deepest gratitude.
