As most of you may or may not know Keri Chambers was in a snowmobile accident. She was hurt very bad...she has massive injuries on her right side.. and entire face/Jaw. We were in a remote area with almost no signal. Luckily I was with some great people. Robert Tilton and Natalie Tilton Without them Keri would not be here today! As I said it was in a remote area and somehow they were able to help me get her to a place we could try to stabalize her and protect her from the crash site. Natalie and God found the one spot somehow with one bar called 911 and talked rescue teams into evac her in the middle of nowhere with no marker signs. Robert quickly helped me clear her airways from her tongue and all the blood, stabalize her body, control bleeding, prevent shock and monitor vitals all to the best of our ability with nothingtodoit with. It took rescue just under an hour and a half to reach us. They were then able to get her to the helicopter and air evac her out. I tell you all this because both the evac pilot and the ICU trauma doctors told me that 100% she would not have made it if it wasn't for these wonderful people. I would have lost my wife on that mountain trail on Friday. I want to say #ThankYouLord and thank you to them and the other people who later assisted us. Keri is not out of the woods but she has a fighting chance. Thankyou!❤
Since then Keri has had surgery on her arm and surgery for a trach for a breathing tube and a tummy tube. She is on a ventilator and is in a chemical enduced sleep that she incoherentlycomes in and out of. She had a bleed on her brain that we think has stopped. We don't know until she is awake if there will be side effects. She has Whiplash but her spine seems to be ok. Her Jaw is displaced and severely broken in 3 or 4 places. She will recieve reconstructive surgery on that tomorrow. Her jaw will be banded shut for about 6-8 weeks. Her face has broken cheekbones and both eyesockets. They will need to reconstruct that as soon as the swelling goes down from the jaw surgery prob around mid next week. She also has a hairline fracture in her leg but we are not concerned about it right now. Once that is done and the swelling goes down then we can take out the trach and off the ventilator. Once that's done we can wake her up for real and only then through communicating with her will we be able to tell if there is brain damage or other issues and what the side affects are if any. She can also tell us hopefully if somthing else is wrong. It's going to be a long long road for Keri and all of us even if everything goes right.. it will take alot of time to heal.. there will be alot of pain, diferent therapies and who knows what else. I am keeping it together the best I can. I am not ok. Everyday is a nightmare. I desperately need your prayers. I will need help with some other things too and there will be definitely more to come. I will ask for help in a variety of ways. I 100% want everyone that Keri loves or that loves Keri to have all the information and support they want. Thank you for you love and support. ❤
