Kerri, a 56-year-old woman, has dedicated her life to caring for her family. She is a loving mother and grandmother to five children and four grandchildren who bring immense joy to her life. Recently, while caring for her husband during his recovery from melanoma surgery, Kerri received a devastating diagnosis of goblet cell carcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of appendix cancer that has advanced to stage 4.

Kerri has already undergone two major surgeries and will soon need to undergo intensive chemotherapy and possible additional surgical procedures. Her husband, the sole provider for their household, has had to take off many weeks from work, and will continue to need to take time off work to give around-the-clock care to Kerri.
