Hello! We’re Wilf, Katie, Tom, Dominic, Jesse, and Ciaran– a team of third-year Television Production students working on our final major project before graduation. We’re creating a documentary that explores the Cornish language, Kernewek, and its role in shaping Cornish identity today.

Our Documentary will delve into how the language creates a sense of community, while also highlighting the vibrant celebration of St. Piran's Day. Through interviews with local speakers and community members, we aim to bring the stories of Cornish language and culture to life. We already have some amazing contacts and are starting our the project with Location Recces and interviews over zoom but with the funding we will be able to do so much more.

While we’ve received some funding from the university, it is not enough to cover the essential costs of travel, accommodation, and production for our trips to Cornwall. We’re reaching out for support to help make this documentary a reality and ensure the best quality to the making of our FMP .

Following our recent trip we will be making a short trailer so watch this space for updates.
