We’re Wilf, Katie, Tom, Dom, Jesse, and Ciaran. We are third-year Television Production and Post-Production students at Southampton Solent University, making a documentary on the Cornish language, Kernewek, for our Final Major Project. We will be exploring Cornwall's place in modern society and how the language is helping to create a strong sense of identity in its speakers.

We have received some funding from our university; however, this is not enough to cover the costs of travel to Cornwall from Southampton. We would greatly appreciate any help in funding this project, as we have so much passion for creating a documentary to celebrate a language that is being revived.

The plan for the documentary is to cover language lessons, politics, and communities that help make Cornwall so unique, and we believe it is especially relevant whilst everyone is struggling to find their identity and who they want to be.
