Update: Starting Nursing School & Grateful for Your Support

Hi everyone,

This post was originally intended for before my program started, but I am so excited to share that I am now officially in nursing school! The first week went great, and although the girls and I are still adjusting, they understand this is temporary. More than anything, I want to be an example and role model to them—that with faith, determination, and community, we can do hard things.

I’m so grateful to share that most of my tuition has been covered through workforce resources. This is such a blessing! Until those funds finish processing, I have been covering expenses out of pocket or with help from family. I am well aware of scholarships and financial aid, and I am actively utilizing every resource available to me. I also have plans in place so that we don’t have to struggle each semester—this support is just to help bridge the gap right now.

In the meantime, some of our immediate needs include:

• Gas to get to and from school

• Essentials for the girls

• Childcare expenses

• Emergency car repairs and new tires

• Future rent to keep a stable home

Please know that all funds will be used responsibly to secure a stable and bright future for me and my children.
