Our friend and co-worker of many years is hurting . Darren Kerfien , who was ready to celebrate retirement with his wife Terry, and family, found out instead that she was very sick with cancer. Today, treatment options have been exhausted. She will be entering hospice.
Anyone that knows Darren can appreciate his "old school " attitude as frustrating as it can sometimes be. But for all of his tough exterior, Terry really is the rock of that family keeping everyone together.
He's now faced with a decision of choosing a hospice location. This is an expensive proposition. While Darren would hate to accept any assistance, it's pretty clear that he's surrounded by people who do want to help Terry, Darren, and the family.
