The Malayalee Association of Corning (MACC), NY has initiated this fundraising campaign to contribute to the Kerala Flood Disaster Relief Fund.  Many of the MACC families in Kerala are in danger due to the flood disaster happening right now.  Kerala, our home state, continues to reel under floods and unfortunately the death toll is rising daily.  Over 320 people have died and more than 100,000 people have been displaced from their homes including many of our family members. We wholeheartedly believe that it is our birth responsibility to help our sisters and brothers, kids, families, and friends who are suffering for their lives during this time. 

How the Funds will be Used?: 
When you click on the link to DONATE,  your donation will be received by Malayalee Association in Corning (MAAC), NY.  They will withdraw the fund to a Non-profit organization who will help the needed families immediately.  

In addition, the fund raised will be used to special camps that need immediate attention ( For example: Starter kits comprising of basic provisions such  as 50 blankets for kids, sanitory napkins for kids, Food etc.). 

The rest of the fund will go directly to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) with the following account details:

About Me  : 
My name is Rugmani Kutty, Systems Engineer for New York Air Brake for the past four years.  Currently, I live in Corning, NY 14830; but originally from Kerala, southern part of India, where the Flood Disaster occurred recently.  My family who lives in the heavily affected areas lost everything and I am raising this fund to help rescue and relief work happening in Kerala, especially in rural areas of my home town where it is hard to get help.  I would like to help the rehabilitation efforts of my family, relatives and their surrounding neighbors who lost everything
