Kenyetta Abrams' Brain Surgery Relief Fund
Donation protected
On December 31, 2021, my granddaughter, Kenyetta Abrams, suffered from two brain aneurysms and was rushed to Grady Hospital for emergency surgery. Unfortunately, she has been out of work since this devastating event and placed on short-term disability, which only pays 50% of her paycheck. She is currently only bringing in $1200 a month and must pay for her health insurance out of pocket, totaling $494 a month. With this cost, she cannot keep up with her monthly bills. After attending her doctor’s appointment this past week to be cleared to return to work, she was denied and informed that she must undergo a craniotomy surgery on May 20, 2022, to repair one of the previous aneurysms that is growing again. This surgery will last 6 hours with a 7-day expected recovery in the hospital. This has not only put a strain on her physical health but her emotional and mental health as well. We know the at-home recovery period will be extended, but we have faith that she will come back out on top. We appreciate everyone who donates to assist in paying for her upcoming medical bills and helping keep all of her monthly bills afloat during this recovery process.
