Alli and I have been serving in Nairobi, Kenya together for about a year now. Alli's work involves teaching science to high school students locally, and I teach and pastor a local congregation in the community of Matasia. Thus, the majority of what we do is centered in and around education. We also work with other churches, developing some of their programs to encourage an atmosphere of learning among the community at large as well as the church community locally. Most of what we do is done free of charge; therefore, we try our best to rely on the generosity and support of others so that we can continue to do what we do, which is teach, disciple, and educate any who are willing.
All the funds donated are used strictly for shelter, food, travel, maintenance, and supplies. Anything left over is, then, pooled into a scholarship fund for local students seeking to attend university. The total is for an entire year.
