I have been working for 4 months with young mothers in the rural area of Shianda, Kakamega County, Kenya. We have developed a project to empower young mothers that face: early pregnancy, poverty, lack of study, job opportunities and home support.

The goal of the project is to give practical skills through tailoring and hairdressing and provide them with the basics materials with a sustainability starter kit to run their own business once the project is handed over.

The project will end on 29th November. We are opening this camping to raise founds to be able to:

- Continue the training for the months of December and January, providing materials and economic support to the facilitators

- Provide a proper sustainability starter kit with basic material to run their own business

A small donation means a lot to us! By donating:

20 euros: we can provide a hairdressing sustainability starter kit - blow dryer, comb and other hairdressing products

30 euros: we can provide workshop materials for one month

60 euros: we can pay the monthly salary to the teacher

75 euros: we can provide a tailoring sustainability starter kit - sewing machine, needles and scissors.

100 euros: you will have a great impact on the community!

For now, a total of 43 young mothers have been part of the project. Currently 35 are still engaged.

He estat treballant durant 4 mesos amb mares joves a la zona rural de Shianda, comtat de Kakamega, Kenya. Hem desenvolupat un projecte per empoderar les mares joves que s'enfronten: embaràs precoç, pobresa, manca d'estudi, oportunitats laborals i suport a la llar.

L'objectiu del projecte és dotar d'habilitats pràctiques a través d'oficis com la sastreria i la perruqueria. També dotar les participants, dels materials bàsics amb un kit inicial de sostenibilitat per dirigir el seu propi negoci un cop finalitzat el projecte.

El projecte finalitzarà el 29 de novembre. Estem obrint aquest campanya per recaudar fons per poder:

- Continuar la formació durant els mesos de desembre i gener

- Proporcionar un kit inicial de sostenibilitat adequat amb material bàsic per obrir el seu propi negoci

Una petita donació significa molt per a nosaltres! Donant:

20 euros: podem proporcionar un kit d’arrencada de sostenibilitat de perruqueria - assecador de cabells, pinta i altres productes

30 euros: podem proporcionar materials de taller durant un mes

60 euros: podem pagar el sou mensual al professor

75 euros: podem proporcionar un kit d’arrencada de sostenibilitat a mida - màquina de cosir, estisores, agulles i una cinta mètrica

100 euros: tindràs un gran impacte en la comunitat!

De moment, un total de 43 mares joves han format part del projecte. Actualment 35 encara estan compromesos.
