Kenwood Elementary School Fire Fund
Kenwood Elementary School is a rural, public elementary school in the heart of the wine country wildfires. The school miraculously survived with only wind and heavy smoke damage, but their community has been rocked. Over 10% of the families, as well as several staff members have lost their homes. The recovery process will be long for them and a donation is only a small gesture of the support they will need. Gifts to their school fund will give them the discretion to help their hard hit community directly. For example, their school cook, whose home is gone, wants to buy new baking equipment so she can start feeding the school again.
My best friend, Amy Seyms, is the first grade teacher at the school and is running their fundraising effort. Many of you have met her at my house over the years. She is basically the kindest person you will ever meet as well as being incredibly organized and in control in times of crisis. There is no better person to organize this effort on behalf of her school.
