My name is Saige I am from Ontario Canada and my husband and his family are from Kentucky, Jamaica. Our family in the community of Kentucky, Jamaica, is facing unimaginable hardship after Hurricane Melissa. No word from my husband or family in 3 days since it hit them almost directly! This family is the most loving, welcoming, hardworking and giving family and they have gained so many friends and extended family through the years being who they are - good people - it is time to give back to them!! News travelling down the mountain is that Kentucky has faced complete devestation and isolation. Many have lost everything, and they desperately need help! Your donation can help my family rebuild after this devastation.

UPDATE Friday- Our family is alive!!! The loss is unimaginable as you can see. They are safe and holding up the best they can with what they have! They are resilient and will come back stronger! Immediate need is to get a roof back on their houses that are left as they all staying in one basement! And food!!! Please help us help our family ❤️ Anything will help. UPDATE Sunday - Still no direct contact with my husband or family on the mountain but my wonderful sister in law and her husband made their way up the mountain and brought them food!!! We are so grateful you are helping feed our family while they endure recovering from this devastation - food is the most important!! UPDATE - 2 weeks post hurricane - Finally have had some direct contact with my husband and family. Many lost their homes but they have life and food and are grateful for all of you and your generosndonationsntonhekonthem rebuild. Hope is high!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
