Hello, all. I am here to humbly ask you to consider opening your hearts (and wallets) to allow for aid in the rescues and clean up efforts regarding the devastation that has occurred at my home. On Wednesday night/early Thursday morning this week, flash flooding occurred quick and heavy throughout the southeastern Kentucky region. These counties are small, poverty is rampant and financial support for the worst affected families is nominal. Our downtown areas have been demolished. Entire houses are obstructing roadways. Families have been waiting on hillsides for 27 hours without rescue. The elderly are being found dead in their homes. A family of 6 has been found dead (4 young children, only two have been located). Animals Iost. Dams and rivers are overflowing and rain is in the forecast. The National Guard has been dispatched but phone service is down and not all individuals have been accounted for as missing or rescued. Please, please consider contributing to this cause.
