Kentucky is facing an unimaginable crisis—hundreds of roads are closed, thousands are without power, and the death toll continues to rise. Over 230 people have been evacuated, and the state remains in a state of emergency.

In Martin County alone, 296 residents were rescued by Kentucky National Guard airmen and soldiers, thanks to the heroic efforts of those risking their lives to bring people to safety.

Yet, the disaster is far from over. Over 12,000 customers remain without power, 17,000 are without water, and over 28,000 are under a boil water advisory. The situation is dire, and the community needs our help now more than ever.

With temperatures dropping and snow expected in eastern Kentucky, the already-devastated communities are bracing for more hardship. As floodwaters continue to ravage the area, displaced families face the challenge of not only recovering from the immediate damage but also finding shelter, food, and basic necessities.

In addition to providing temporary shelters, food, and essential resources, we are also focusing on preventing human trafficking—an issue that is tragically exacerbated by the homelessness that follows natural disasters.
