My name is Liz and we are friends with the Freeburg Family! We had an instant connection with them as our kiddos are the same age and the boys played soccer together.

We love our Freeburg family!

After hearing about Kent's Spinal Cord injury and all the costs that will be associated with this we wanted a way to raise some money in order to lessen that burden on them. There will need to be modifications to the home in order for him to reach all the places. Also the financial burden of hospital bills and rehabs. We would love to be able for that not to even be a thought throughout Kent's healing!

Hi everyone - this is Carrie.  So sweet of our great friends to set this up.  It is not a natural thing for us to ask for help, but we know that we need it.  Kent has a spinal injury.  At this point, he doesn't have any feeling in his legs.  We are an active family with 2 young kids doing our best to figure this out.  Any funds here will go to a special account focused on giving Kent independence in our home - an elevator, ramps, making our home ADA compliant, getting the right wheelchairs, etc.  We have a long path to recovery and don't yet have all the details on the exact cost of rehab and modifying our home.  We promise to keep everyone updated, and the above caring bridge site is a great resource if you'd like to join us on this journey.
