Kent's Surgery Support Fund

At a routine follow-up CT scan in early February, they found more cancer in a lymph node next to my aorta at about kidney height. So, I’m having two feet of lymphatic system removed from my torso on February 19. This is only Stage 2A cancer, and I've got a 99% chance of survival and a 90% chance I won't have to do chemo after the surgery, so that’s great! However, it'll be the most major surgery I've ever had, and I’ve had eight. It takes two surgeons and a four-armed robot all day to perform, and I’ll be in the hospital for three days, and be unable to walk for quite a while afterwards.

When I first announced this on Facebook, I received a real outpouring of people both there and contacting me directly to see if they could do anything to help. Most specifically mentioned delivering dinner and groceries. Since most of you are outside of delivery distance, I’ve put up this Gofundme for exactly that! Centralizing all you generous folks here will make our lives so much better.

We will also be using this page to update y’all on how things are going! (Facebook was leaving a lot of people out.) So, you can all stay tuned, and leave messages, here! Gofundme does this irritating thing where you have to donate at least $1 to the fund if you want to be able to post below, so if you have questions, please reach out to Emily Fassler via the contact button below.
