Kent’s Biggest Race
We reach out to you with hearts filled with love, concern and fight. We need your help! Just a few weeks ago, on Thursday February 28th we received the news that no one wants to hear, the one word that we would all like to erase.
CANCER. Nodular Lymphocyte Predominant Hodgkin Lymphoma.
The Gate is down and the Race is on! While Kent has insurance, the deductibles are very high and the expenses are oppressive. This is your call to the Starting Gate. We can all help Kent through the Berms, Rollers and Turns ahead. We can help Kent and Marie with their house payment and increasing bills. We can alleviate this stress and support Kent in his #1 focus, his Race to beat the Cancer, and cross the Finish Line!! We will do this! Kent and Marie need your help.
Kent de Mik, our brother found several growths on his lymph nodes. Following a scheduled biopsy, our beloved Kent - - our friend, brother, father, son and the love of our lives received a diagnosis of Nodular Lymphocyte Predominant Hodgkin Lymphoma. Along with his Chemo treatments he has already endured two lumbar punctures. We have been told that this costly and painful procedure will continue during his upcoming treatments. These punctures are similar to an epidural and they are used to protect the spine and brain from cancer growth near his spine.
Where do we start to describe our love for Kent? Prayer began in earnest that day and has continued each day since. We encourage all of you to join us in positive thoughts, prayers and keeping Kent’s name on the alters of the Temple.
Chemo and other treatments were started IMMEDIATELY. We have learned what we already knew, Kent is strong - - in body and in will, he is a fighter. Kent, our hopes are sky high and your sense of humor and quick wit attest to your passion to win. You will beat this disease!
WE … CAN … DO … THIS!!!
Grab your credit card and donate. Also, you can reach out to Wende Tate (Kent’s sister) if you wish to contribute or help in other ways.
We Love you all!
The de Mik Family.
