Kensington Kennell

My name is Kristi Pickens, and I am raising funds on behalf of my friends, Katie and Jeff Stone. They are the parents to two of the most beautiful twin girls you have ever laid eyes on.

A little back story on these angels…These sweet girls have a rare genetic disorder called PCH1B. When they were right at 1, they were placed in Katie’s care where she immediately fell in love. There was no absolute way she was letting these girls go, so she adopted them and the rest is history.

These sweet girls have spent the last 9 years getting every ounce of love they deserved. They never for one second felt that they weren’t wanted or needed. Katie and Jeff have been amazing parents to these sweet girls. Anytime you are around the girls, there are nothing but smiles on their faces.

Dec 1, 2022 was a day that rocked this sweet family to the core. Sweet little Monroe went to be with Jesus. It was a nightmare that this family couldn’t bare. While we all know Monroe is walking the streets of gold with our King hand in hand laughing and playing, it doesn’t make it any easier here on Earth.

After Monroe’s passing, Katie and Jeff spent their time making sure Kensington felt all the love. They helped her through her grieving of her sister, and nursed her back to great health. Kensington had been tube fed for many years, and Katie had gotten her to the point of eating food by mouth again. She was doing so good!

This past weekend devastation struck this family again. Sweet Kensington suddenly passed away and is walking in the arms of Jesus with her sister. Katie and Jeff are heart broken and confused. No parent should ever have to go through this not once but twice.

Katie and Jeff also have 3 sons and a daughter that they have to explain this too. Although they understand the girls are in heaven and that they will see them again, it doesn’t heal their little hearts that ache from so much loss in a year.

I started this gofundme with Katie’s permission. I would like to help them raise money to pay for their sweet baby girl’s funeral. We all know how much funerals cost these days, and with raising a family, it will take a little off their shoulder’s by not having to worry about finances.
