Help Kensei Chase His Motorcycle Racing Dreams

Hi everyone,
My name is Angus Norton, and I’m launching this GoFundMe with my good friend Rick Rayner under the banner of Team Kiwimoto72—a name that reflects not just our deep love for motorcycles but also our commitment to supporting the next generation of riders.
We’ve both spent our lives immersed in the motorcycle world—trackdays, touring, racing, wrenching, mentoring, and supporting the sport however we can. Between us, we’ve logged thousands of miles, worked on dozens of bikes, and followed the careers of countless racers. But every once in a while, a young rider comes along who stands out—not just because of raw talent, but because of heart, humility, and hustle.
That rider is Kensei Matsudaira.
We’ve watched his journey unfold—from mini motos and flat track wins as a little kid, to standing on podiums in Europe before he even hit his teens. Kensei is only 14 years old and has something rare: not just speed, but maturity, work ethic, and the mindset of a champion. He’s earned the respect of everyone around him—not just as a rider, but as a person.
But talent alone isn’t enough. Racing at the highest levels takes resources. And that’s where we come in—and where you can too.
Rick and I created this campaign because we believe in giving back to the sport that’s given us so much. We believe in investing in potential. And most of all, we believe Kensei represents the kind of future we want to see in motorcycle racing: one built on passion, dedication, and community.
Here is a word from his Dad!
Hi, my name is Kuni, and I’m the proud dad of an incredibly determined and talented young motorcycle racer: Kensei Matsudaira.
Kensei’s journey started at just 4 years old, racing locally in nearly every discipline we could find—road racing, endurance, flat track, supermoto, speedway. Sometimes we were juggling three different race series in a single week. By age 8, Kensei had already earned over two dozen mini racing championships and six flat track titles. We weren’t just chasing trophies—we were chasing a dream.
In 2020, Kensei stepped onto the national stage with MotoAmerica and quickly proved he belonged. That same year, he won his first national title—the AMA Supermoto 65cc Championship—and added a top-3 finish in the Ohvale 110 class and a strong 8th in the 160 class.
The next season was a breakthrough. Kensei dominated the MotoAmerica Ohvale series, winning 12 out of 16 races and claiming both the 110 and 160 national championships. He also made history by winning the inaugural FIM MiniGP North America title. It was his first taste of international competition too—racing MiniGP in Spain, where he broke into the top 10 against the best young talent in the world.
From there, Kensei just kept climbing.
2022: First podium and first race win in Spain’s Moto5 national series, finishing runner-up overall. Also won the MotoAmerica 190 title and his first AMA Speedway national title.
2023: Moved up to Moto4 in Spain’s ESBK, took podiums and consistently ran with the top group. Narrow race losses were measured in hundredths of a second. Also raced a wildcard round in Thailand’s Yamaha R3 Cup, fighting for the win in both races. Represented the U.S. in the FIM Speedway SGP4 World Cup, finishing 8th.
2024: Advanced to Premoto3, one of the most competitive junior classes in Europe. Racing as a privateer with limited resources, Kensei still managed a P5 finish and proved he can run with the best when given the chance. He also competed in two Speedway world championship events—SGP4 and SGP3—and missed out on a final by just one point.
