Hi, my name is Alanna and I’m fundraising to help my work mom and her husband, my work dad . A little background about them, these two (Heather and Kenol) have been married for almost 8 years but have been together for almost 18 years. In July of 2023 while at work (WDW) Kenol wasn’t feeling well and was taken to the hospital. Tests showed that he had a stroke. He lost mobility on his left side as a result of the stroke. He went through physical therapy for a few weeks and then was sent home where he continued to do physical therapy with at home visits, going to the physical therapy building and his wife making sure he’s doing tasks that have been recommended by the physical therapist. Everything was starting to look up until he started to lose his appetite and wasn’t feel well again. In Feb of 2024 Heather took him to the hospital to find out he had yet another stroke. They performed multiple tests trying to figure of what the cause was only to find out a medication he has been prescribed for stroke patients was attacking his liver. His AST and ALT number were in the 6 and 7 hundreds. Anything over 100 is abnormal and shows liver disease. During this time he was non verbal and unable to eat solids and barely able to drink something easy as water. After the doctors were able to lower his levels and get him back to a somewhat normal eating, drinking and verbal state he was then released to a rehabilitation facility where he was being looked after. On March 3rd his wife called and she said he hadn’t spoke to him all day and his phone was not on so she could reach him. In process of contacting the rehab facility to get in contact with him they informed her that they were rushing him to the hospital because they assumed he had another stroke. The doctors say he had a seizure and as of today March 4th he is in a medically induced coma, the doctors are trying to control the seizures but have yet to be able to. After the first stroke Heather stayed with him for almost 2 months to help him recover and have support. The second stroke she was out of work for almost 3 weeks. I’m pretty sure all the vacation and sick time she had from work is almost or completely exhausted. So any money donated will go directly to Heather to either help with medical bills for Kenol or household/personal bills. Heather is a true angel on earth always willing and providing help with out expecting anything in return and I feel like now it’s time to reciprocate what she has always done for others. Anything will help and if you can’t donate monetarily prayers are always appreciated. Thank you in advance and thanks for reading!
