I never thought I would be doing a Go Fund Me post. God has my heart filled with hope and love.
One of my best friends ever Keno Mapp, also your friend is in need. Keno has cancer and we are asking for all the hearts he has touched to show him some love by helping him and his family by your donations. Keno is in the hospital and under going treatments as I write this. I first met Keno over 35 years ago in Hawaii. Keno is and always has been the leader in concert promoting, studio manger, talent manger, poet, scout, writer... best as they come. Most of all, Keno has been a loving father. Between Covid-19 and this debilitating Cancer he is in great need. Keno has ALWAYS been there for all he knows and even those he didn't know! Please show your love and help this great man and father and don't be too shy to share his story with other friends and family.

I will be withdrawing monies raised from my Chase bank account (Daniel Perez) and transferred into Keno Mapp's California bank so he can exchange the money in Europe!

In all my years, I have been so lucky to be welcomed to share my views of love, music, poetry and to try and help make some sense out of it all while remaining grounded and hopefully have been able to lift others out of the many storms, confidently knowing that the sun will surely still shine bright over our lives again very soon.
As most of you know how private I am about my life, this I must share just as I share the light for the dark parts are one, so I must share this with you as well.
I have contracted Cancer and have been in the hospital for the past 3 weeks, starting with a fall which fractured a few of my vertebra’s in my neck and left me unable to move.
My mind is messy with pain pills, but my heart is still full clear, only knowing that I must care for my two little boys Dominik Julian Mapp and his little brother Adrian Christopher Mapp and get better so that they can have their Papa in their lives as they deserve.
Life has always been a challenge and borrowed time is something I have lived on forever, yet now with these two boys, I have no second chances and must fight like I never have before.
Monday I will have back surgery and they will try and remove as much Cancer from my back as possible, but it has spread so much, they must keep their focus on critical points to support my head, neck, spine, etc. and keep me from becoming completely paralyzed.
My lower back is so far gone that they can only give me an intense radiation treatment hoping to just kill it completely and it heal as the other areas that are most severally affected heal as well.
There are several steps on the road to recovery and will take 7 plus months.
I will not be able to see my baby boys and am unclear as to what my financial situation will turn into over these next few months.
Regardless my body, cancer, walking again, performing, making new music and books all does not matter as much as it does to be able to run with my boys and teach them all that I have been blessed to experience.
For this, I must ask if you will offer what you can financially to help us rise above whatever is to come over the next months.
This along with your heart felt prayers so that I can walk, run and even jump again alongside my boys and us have as many years as we can together as they grow, is no less than a blessing.
Hard one to swallow, yet as you most know me, you know that the boys are all that matter, and I will fight like the Fire Horse I am to beat this Cancer and not let these two be cheated out from having their father.
