Kenny Won't Give Up

My dad was diagnosed with a brain tumor December 27th 2017 and had it removed (what was visible) on December 29th. The surgeon's post-op report was tough to handle, he informed me that he was very confident it was malignant, but the pathology report would confirm his suspicion. Well he was right, the pathology report confirmed our worst fears, it was a stage 4 glioblastoma. Prior to surgery he had lost most use of his left side due to the location of the tumor, and following surgery he had no use of his left arm and leg. Through hard work in physical therapy and time he has had some return in his left side, but it is not functional. Doctors have started a chemo and radiation regimen. He is returning home this weekend and the burden falls on me to coordinate his care (PT, OT, nurse,
Home health aide, transport to medical appointments, etc) and provide all financial support as he has had ZERO income since he was hospitalized and continues to have no income. Though the wheels of Medicaid and social security are turning very slowly, he has to have care now. Along with the worry of health and mobility comes the worry of money. He had/has no insurance. His employer didn't offer it, he didn't qualify for Medicaid and couldn't afford Obamacare. His bills are outrageous. He needs to be transported to/from radiation and he needs homecare as he is unable to care for himself. He will get Medicaid but we don't know when. ANY donation is appreciated. Thank you so much!!
