Kenny Thorley Fund

On January 18th, while on a college tour with his son, Kenny collapsed and was unresponsive. Luckily someone witnessed this and started CPR until the paramedics arrived. While en route to the hospital, the paramedics continued CPR and Kenny had to be shocked 3 times to restart his heart. They were able to stabilize him, and he was put on life support at the local hospital until he could be life flighted to El Paso later that evening.

At the hospital in El Paso, tests were performed and it was determined that he suffered a massive heart attack that caused his heart to stop. It is looking like Kenny will require open heart surgery, but they are waiting for the cardiothoracic surgeon to evaluate him. Kenny is currently intubated and sedated to let his body rest before surgery.

This has been incredibly scary and his condition remains serious. Charity was able to meet him in El Paso and has been at his side ever since. As you can imagine this has been very hard on his family, and the last thing we want them to worry about is the financial burden. The family will be traveling to and from El Paso to be with Kenny before, during, and after surgery. Please keep Kenny and his family in your prayers as they navigate this situation. To know Kenny is to love him. He is an amazing husband, father, papaw, coach, coworker, and friend.
