Hi Everyone. I am raising money to help offset the cost of my Father's cancer treatment. Currently, he has been battling cancer since November of 2017. They discovered cancer in his prostate and bones. It was spreading quickly, and he started treatment right away. Recently, his numbers were just starting to go down and he was feeling a little better, but then out of nowhere, he was informed his insurance stopped covering his monthly oral cancer treatments. It will cost about 3,000 dollars a month out of pocket to continue, just for the medication alone. Which he just doesn't have due to the overwhelming medical costs. With some support, we are hoping to get him into remission, or even just keep it from spreading further. Every dollar donated will dramatically up his chances of survival. No one should have to die because they can't cover monthly medical expenses.
So, let me tell you about him. He is 60 years old, he has been married to my mother since 1979, dedicating his life to her and their love. Making sure my mom was cared for and supported, being the absolute best husband he could be. During their marriage, they had four daughters ( I am the youngest.) He's been the best dad any little girl could ask for. He never left our side. He worked incredibly hard every single day making sure we were always taken care of. Now he has 6 grandchildren. He has been a wonderfully, goofy, silly, grandpa. He's been our rock.
He is an accomplished guitar player, singer, writer and in his free time, he likes to hunt, and target shoot. His father was a pastor and he played for the churches band with his family. At times life was rough and he's never let that stand in his way. Even continuing to work through the hardest parts of his illness and treatments, to make sure my mother was taken care of and continues to do so. And I can't stand the thought of him giving up because he can't afford his medicine. Thank you for reading!
