Kenny Farrar - Family Benevolent

 Kenny Farrar - Manager at Sparth Community Centre has sadly passed away on Monday 9th July 2018 after suffering with cancer for over 18 months. Kenny was a very inspirational man and worked very hard for the community of Sparth. Kenny worked at Sparth community centre centre for 30 years. As well as the general running of the community centre Kenny also helped and was  involved with various groups which included: The Saturday club (in his early days Kenny would come to run the club after working a night shift in a mill and have us little terrors to deal with!!) Playscheme (Best in Rochdale) Youth groups and clubs Ladies only clubs and many others Kenny was always available for the local community, whether it was the elders who would just want a form filling in, a phone call to  an energy supplier or simply just popping in for a brew, Kenny was always there. As kids around Sparth a lot of us had very little however Kenny made the community centre a  very special for us and we are all forever grateful for the time and effort he put into us. The centre was a hub for the community and Kenny was its heart. This fund has been set up so we can help and support Kenny's lovely family at this very difficult time.
