Last year our family weathered the destruction by Hurricane Irma and this summer our family weathered a personal storm. My husband, Kevin became very sick this summer and as a result we needed to leave our island home. We are currently living in Fort Lauderdale in order for him to receive the necessary medical care he needs to get better. 

With all our recent life changes, we are still keeping up with the expenses with our home in Big Pine as well as living on the mainland. Kevin and I have needed to take a leave of absence from our jobs to focus on his recovery. 

Our children have embraced the necessary changes with grace  and understanding. They have been “rock stars” adjusting to a new school, new place to live, new sports teams, and new friends. They continue to amaze us and we are so proud of them.

We feel so blessed with all the love and generosity we received after Hurricane Irma last year. We ask that you continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We truly appreciate all the love and support from family and friends. Our hope is that Kevin makes a full healthy recovery and we can return home very soon.
