Kenny B. and Bud
Donation protected
Bud and Kenny were involved in a motorcycle accident on Sunday September 16th around our hometown of Kincaid, IL. It was the first time a father took his son for a motorcycle ride and it ended tragically. They were in a t-bone type collision with a vehicle on a rural county road. Bud ended up with a broken back, broken pelvis, broken hip and hip cup, his foot is cut severely and he has 35 stitches in his face. Little Kenny ( 9 years old ) suffered a broken left leg and as of yesterday 9/18, had to have his right foot amputated at the shin as it was beyond the point of saving. Bud will endure multiple surgeries and a very long stay in the hospital. Kenny will be in for at least 2 weeks, if not longer, with an amputated right foot and broken left leg.
The effects of the accident are physically, emotionally and financially overwhelming for the boys and Kenny's mother Dottie. They all 3 live in a second story apartment which will no longer be a housing option with both Bud and Kenny's physical situation. Dottie will not be able to work as she will be staying with her son in the hospital and after he is released she will be on 24/7 home care with him as any mother would.
Medical bills are going to be astronomical besides the fact of new housing, rehabilitation, transportation etc. I am asking for your generosity and compassion for one of the best little boys in the world and his family in this terrible time.
