Kenneth's Dream Wish Trip to Disney &Myrtle Beach

Kenneth Sosna has been diagnosed with an inoperable esophogeal adenocarcinoma tumor, His birthday will be October 8th and we are planning to meet his dream request to travel to Disney World for their 50th Anniversary Celebration.

Kenneth is an adult Cerebral Palsy kid with a giant heart who has always gone out of his way to help friends or neighbors in need of his savant mechanical genius. His favorite collection is his extended collection of the Build-a-Bear "My Little Ponies" He has a total of 35 various ponies , most of which have accompanied him to his radiation therapy treatments. His most admired Disney character is Ariel , the Mermaid.

When I asked him ,"in the worst case scenario, what would you like to do?" , his answer was almost immediately to go to Disney World and see the "It's a Small World" exhibit, He still reflects on his 1st visit to it at the New York World's Fair in 1964.

His prognosis, given thus far, by his doctors is very short, 6-12 months, so our time frame is very short. We are hoping to travel 10/6-10/13 while he is still mobil and able to enjoy his trip Kenneth has only SSI & SSA income which equals below poverty level. He lives with me, his sister, Sharon in Oklahoma City .

The second part of Ken's wish is to go to Myrtle Beach, So.Carolina to go where we "always went as kids" for our family vacations.

The funds raised will be used for meals and expenses in Orlando. Ten travel to So Carolina and meal expenses there. We have been greatly Blessed with an Angel Donor for flight travel and park admission. With Ken's health, we can't do an extended stay at either location , however, I am unsure of housing accomodation expenses, etc.

As far as what this will mean to Kenneth, the first thought that comes to my mind is, have you ever seen a tear form in a child's eye when they have found complete joy in something? That overwhelming simple joy that makes a child's heart fill with that joy.

Kenneth and I will be exceedingly grateful, from the utmost part of our hearts. There are not really words, just emotions felt in anticipation of your help to help make this wish come to fruition.
