Help Kennedy Fight Leukemia

After a prolonged period of sickness over 4-5 months, Kennedy Noel was diagnosed on Monday, March 9, 2015 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (A.L.L.). At the time of diagnosis, she was 2 1/2 years old. She immediately underwent a bone marrow draw, a spinal tap, and has already begun chemo. She also had an infusion port surgically installed that will greatly help with her countless chemo treatments through iv and blood draws. Kennedy will undergo an intensive chemo regiment for the next 8-9 months, with total treatment length being around 2-3 years. Kennedy has a long road ahead, but is blessed with so many supportive friends & family. "No one fights alone"- and that could not be more true in Kennedy's case. As a family, we are 'ready for the fight' and have a very optimistic outlook for being cured!

A simple 'thank you' could never suffice for your generosity and support. Your donations will go to cover items such as:
*Lost wages resulting from Kennedy's parent(s) needing to stay at home with her for the next 8+ months
*Medical fees for Kennedy's time inpatient, as well as co-pays for all clinic visits
*Prescription drug co-pay fees for Kennedy's numerous chemo treatments and other medications
*Transportation expenses for Kennedy's 1-2 clinic treatments per week
*Childcare fees for Kennedy's younger sister, Bailey, while Kennedy attends clinic 1-2 times weekly
*Unknown expenses resulting from inevitable readmission(s) into Children's Mercy to treat infections/illnesses while her immune system is depleted

We are committed to ONLY using donated funds to directly benefit Kennedy. Any and all funds that remain after Kennedy wins her battle will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and/or the Ronald McDonald House to benefit families with similar needs. Even if you chose to not donate to Kennedy's cause, we greatly encourage you to give of your time, money, and resources to these AMAZING organizations.

Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) is a cancer of the bone marrow and blood that progresses rapidly without treatment. That's why it's important to start treatment soon after diagnosis.

ALL is also called acute lymphocytic leukemia and acute lymphoid leukemia.

ALL
affects the blood cells and immune system.

ALL is the most common type of cancer in children from 1 to 7 years old.

ALL is the most common type of leukemia in children from infancy up to age 19.

Remission lengths have grown significantly over the past 30 years.

Overall survival statistics for people with ALL are 66.4 percent (all ages) and 90.8 percent for children under 5 years old.
