Kennedy's Hormone Therapy
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Sierra Kane and my sister, Kennedy, recently came out as a trans woman. Those of you who know Kennedy know her as someone who is a kind, caring, funny, and selfless person. She has been living in the closet for so long and is finally ready to look and feel like the person she has been since she was a child. However, with recent moving expenses and a family to take care of, she has been struggling to afford hormones. This whole process of coming out has been so difficult for her since having to wait 31 years to accept herself as a trans woman, but now she has to wait longer because she does not have the funds to start hormone therapy.
Hormone therapy is a process that Kennedy will have to continue doing for the rest of her life. However, this specific GoFund Me is for the first year. This monetary support is not just giving Kennedy money for hormones. This financial support lets Kennedy know that you accept and love her as a trans woman. This transition has been difficult for her. In times like these, outside community and support are imperative for non-dominant identities like Kennedy to feel like they belong and are loved just for who they are.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read this message and to donate to help Kennedy during her transition. Everyone deserves to feel complete and comfortable in their own body.
