Kennedy's Journey with HLHS

Kennedy Rae Hoffhaus has been diagnosed with a rare congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). This diagnosis is the most complex and rare heart defect that a baby can have and requires three tiers of open heart surgery in the first years of life.

Kennedy will undergo her first surgery soon, at just a few days of life. These early hours are most critical and we are praying she remains stable.

Kennedy's parents, Jeff and Cecilia, are taking it one small step at a time. Kennedy's big sister Ryann is doing the same. They are appreciative of all prayers and positive thoughts that are being sent their way.

As you can imagine, Kennedy's care is costly to say the least. Jeff and Cecilia's friends and family would like to ease their financial burden so they may continue to focus on Kennedy's health. They definitely do not feel comfortable asking for donations and stress that sharing this message is just as helpful.
