On October 1, 2021 Kennedy was diagnosed with AML - APL.

Of all the leukemia's one could get, the sub type APL, has one of the highest remission rates. However, this subtype also comes with some severe, life threatening complications and Kennedy has developed both of them; DIC (which has a 50% survival rate) and Differentiation system. While this is all "part of the process". It's not a process that Kennedy and our family have ever anticipated going through.

Last night, October 8, 2021 Kennedy was taken to the ICU as her oxygen levels have dropped to about 74%, her resting heart rate remains higher than normal and she has fluid building around her lungs. She's bleeding faster than her platelets can replenish and we need your prayers.

Due to Covid and her immune system, she's only permitted to have have two visitors, her parents Jackie and Bob. Danny, Kennedy's boyfriend of 6 years, was added to the list but has not yet seen her and now may not be able to because she's been admitted into the ICU in critical condition from her complications. Gia and Collin, sister and brother of Kennedy, remain at home. while Bob has been going back and forth. Gia 15 and Collin 18 have been stepping up to take care of the animals, get to and from school, and fending helping get anything Bob and Jackie need to take care of the family. These two are pretty amazing.

Unfortunately, expenses are adding up fast due to time off work, travel, meal costs and medical bills which have started to come in.

With Kennedy's appetite being low and the family in different locations, the best thing to help them is to help replenish the income that is being lost for Kennedy and their family, and cover the increased cost of food and gas. Right now there is a lot of unknown, many upcoming expenses as we believe God is going to allow us to bring her home in the next 60 days and accommodations will need to be made for chemo transport, home health aids, meals, etc.
