Making My Dream a Reality

Hello, my name is Kennedy. Many of you know that I have been dancing ballet, tap and jazz for a while now and I LOVE it! Over a month ago I begged my Mom to let me try out for the prestigious Ruth Page Dance School's Summer Intensive Program and she said no. Of course I kept asking and she finally gave in. One Saturday afternoon she drove me to the Arlington Heights location where the last auditions were being held in the Chicago area. Before we got out of the car my Mom said "it's okay if you're not selected just do your best and I'm proud of the fact that you're confident enough to tryout" blah, blah, blah--very encouraging right?! Anyway, I went inside, got changed, went through the audition process and we went home. About a week later my Mom got an email from Ruth Page and it read "Congratulations Kennedy...." I was sooo EXCITED! The Summer Intensive program is definitely intense. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. I will work on perfecting my skills while also being exposed to a variety of new skills and techniques. The Ruth Page experience will put me in the company of dancers from all across the world, my age and older AND it even includes master classes on Saturdays! I know it sounds challenging, but I'm looking fowarding to it! Now, as with most everything in life, nothing comes without a price; here's where you can help! I need to raise $2,200 by May 30, 2015 (yikes!)-- WILL YOU HELP ME? I'm asking you to help me make my "dream" come true.
