Cowgirl Kennedy update
Donation protected

It has been a while since the last update. It has been a roller coaster of emotions to see Kennedy improve, then to take a few steps back and then forward again. Kennedy did have her first heart surgery a short time after arriving at Stanford Children’s Hospital. Kennedy was breathing on her own without any interventions. Yesterday her breathing tube had to be placed again as she was having difficulties. She had a CT scan and other tests in an attempt to find the cause since she was doing so well and was getting ready to move to another unit. The team felt she possibly aspirated which caused her breathing issues. She will remain intubated to give her time to rest and further assess. They will attempt to remove her tube again to see how she will do. Kennedy still has more surgeries ahead of her. The goal is to grow, breathe on her own before her next surgery. Her heart issues are complex, but she is in great hands at Stanford. Kennedy even smiled a couple of times and knows her momma. She loves when Madeline and Kory hold her and love on her. Please continue to pray for their little family. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
