Kennedi Foret Marine Biology Scholarship

On December 19, 2021 after a night of Christmas shopping, our Daughter Kennedi and her High School sweetheart Austin was involved in a major car accident when a local woman carelessly ran a red light. Kennedi had to be Life Flighted to University Medical Center in New Orleans where she spent 10 days fighting for her life in the Trauma Unit. On December 28, 2021 she passed away due to her injuries. Kennedi was a precious Daughter, Sister, Grand Daughter, Niece, Cousin, Girlfriend, Babysitter, Cheer Coach and Friend to everyone she met. But she also was a Marine Biology Student at Nicholls State University who hoped to work in the field of Coral Conservation. Kennedi worked her whole life to make her dreams of becoming a Marine Biologist come to life! She was so close to making her dream a reality. Nicholls State University graciously recognized her potential and continues to Honor Kennedi by setting up the KENNEDI FORET MARINE BIOLOGY UNDERGRADUATE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP. What a way to Celebrate Kennedi and help someone else accomplish their dream of becoming a Marine Biologist in Kennedi's Memory! Kennedi always strived to help others. Her motto was to Give Freely and Always be Kind. If you feel led to donate, we are so THANKFUL! Kennedi would be so proud of her community and the ability to help someone else reach their dreams.
