Kennecia's Homegoing Celebration
Donation protected
On August 29, 1996, a sunflower was born. She was loved by everyone who came in contact with her. She had a funny personality, always joking around and laughing. One thing about her, she loved her family and friends.
Kennecia graduated from Evans High School. She was a hard worker and loved to help her family. She developed a love for criminal justice and began studying at Valencia Community College. She was hired at a corrections facility in 2020. But little did we know things would take a turn for the worst.
Before getting employed at the corrections facility, Kennecia began having health challenges. Doctors could not figure out what was wrong with her. It wasn't until 2020, that the official diagnosis came, Lupus. Kennecia fought the illness, went back and forth to the emergency room, feeling tired, losing weight, hair loss and eventually death.
We know that so many people loved Kennecia, and her untimely death at 26 years old, on October 25, 2022, has left an emptiness that cannot be filled. The family would like to ensure that our little sunflower has a homegoing celebration that would allow for burial and a repass most deserving of Kennecia and the life she lived.
