Kenley's Massive Dental Bill

Hi, I am setting up this fundraiser for my ally Kenley.

Kenley is facing an issue that will change her life choices. Consider what it would be like to be within reach of the next stage of your life and see success. Then face a hurdle that will add years to what you can almost touch. Kenley is facing that now. Either fulfill a life progression or to fix her teeth. The first response is hey, just go to country X and get it done cheap. I love the feel of easy solutions but we all know what is just around the corner. When she explained it to me I realized that her situation is very unusual and any dentist working on her must learn the overall situation. So she can’t just drop into a dentist’s chair and wait for magic to happen. She must work with a dentist who has the required knowledge. It is going to cost a LOT of money and will take away her opportunity to live the life she wants for years.

She needs your help. She will be of great benefit to the world throughout her life but she needs your help now. This is a person you know and care for. Do what you can now. The day may come when you need help. Pay it forward. This is how we build a beautiful society.

As many of you know, Kenley loves to laugh, smile and be present in life with every ounce of being that she’s got.

This matter is one that is very close to her heart and that not many people know about.

Sadly, Kenley was born with multiple genetic problems involving her teeth. This includes aggressive periodontal disease which, has created major bone loss and stability around her teeth. This has been going on for a long time. This plus other factors has really brought her oral health problems to a point which is beginning to cause other health problems and it needs be addressed.

She has worn braces for over ten years and, gone through major medicinal procedures that have cost over $50k to date. And sadly, will continue to cost her the rest of her life. But, there’s hope for the future.

Recently, Kenley went to an oral surgeon and saw another and another convinced she would need to have all of her teeth removed and, replaced with implants. This was due to recent procedures not going to plan, multiple teeth problems, serious genetic problems along with increased pain and sensitivity.

Kenley regardless of regular brushing, flossing, dental cleanings + extremely expensive procedures has a genetic disorder that’s causing major pain & life problems for her.

Oral and mouth health is the beginning of your digestive health. With Kenley’s extensive background and knowledge of Ayurveda and Nutrition you know that she is giving this everything that she can and has been for a long time. In fact, her genetic problems with her oral health & more sparked some of her desire to know more about nutrition to help her in the long run.

After an extensive consult, after consult, after exam and meeting with three separate doctors was ruled that no, Kenley does not need to have full mouth teeth implants. Which is due to the fact she does not have enough bone to viably hold an implant screw. Dentures could be an option but, Kenley’s grandmother had dentures since she was in her twenties and, Kenley hopes to avoid this at all costs until it’s absolutely medically necessary. It will probably happen in her life time. But, she wants to try to give her mouth the chance of survival and her doctors agree this is the best route.

So, she’s moving forward with her best option possible to keep her oral health and her teeth without getting dentures at this time.

The work she needs done is not fully covered by insurance and, as a friend, I am asking that loved ones come together to help Kenley in a time of great need.

We all have memories of laughter, joy and smiles shared with Kenley. Kenley loves to smile. This would change her life and give her the biggest smile ever especially as this is the hardest thing she deals with and rarely to never talks about it.

Each of us has been greatly impacted by her presence in our lives. She’s a lover, a fighter and a kind soul who has given so much to those around her.

To ease the suffering and, give her hope to continue to share her beautiful smile with the world, she needs support.

This would include multiple procedures, anesthesia fees, and would give Kenley a smile that’s not only more aesthetically pleasing but, is also more medically sound so she can keep smiling with us for a long time without other medical complications continuing to crop up or the need for dentures until further down the road or continuing to slowly loose teeth as the bone loss continues to take them.

She needs these procedures. These procedures could help restore teeth and help her keep them for longer.

The cost of her dental work would be about $21,000 (including the cost of the GoFundMe fees which are 2.9% + .29 cents per donation.)

The break down of cost -

$12,000 for a full mouth LANAP procedure (a laser to rebuild gum health - this would be her second procedure.)

$8,000+ for extractions, implants, bone grafting, special mouth gear, and more.
