Kendra Watkins Memorial & Brayden Recovery

Update:
On Thursday, July 20th, 2023 Kendra’s son, Brayden Watkins, was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident. He incurred several serious injuries but is now in stable condition.
The most serious injury, a severed spinal cord, has left him paralyzed from the waist down. He will be undergoing surgery tomorrow, July 22nd. Your thoughts and prayers for him and his family will be greatly appreciated. Please donate if you can and share the fundraiser.

On Saturday, May 22, 2021 after a hard fought battle with colon cancer, Kendra emerged victorious over life and joined Jesus in Heaven.
Leaving behind a husband of twenty one years and six beautiful children.

My name is Rebekah, I am a friend of the Watkins' family and have permission from Kendra's husband, Russell to set up this GoFundMe.
This account will be used to cover any expenses the family may occur during their period of grief.
There is not enough space to write about how amazing Kendra was.

Kendra was a gifted photographer. She had an eye for photography that many envied. She was there capturing military homecomings, births of babies, family milestones and much more. She made even the most camera shy feel comfortable. Her easy going nature and patience helped relax her clients and many became friends.
Kendra was an amazing military spouse, supporting the troops, fellow military wives and her country, standing proudly by her soldier. There are military wives all over the world who were touched by Kendra.
Kendra was the kind of friend who always showed up. She was empathic, a great listener, funny and caring. She was selfless, giving even when she was suffering. Never asking for anything back in return.
Kendra was the best mother. She was the kind of mother other mothers wanted to be like. Kind, patient and thoughtful. She gave everything for her family. She believed in quality time and leading by an example. She leaves behind five sons and one daughter. Children who are kind, polite and accepting. Just like their mother was. Because she led by example.
She lived everyday with purpose. She wasn't the type to just survive life, she thrived and gave back to the world more than we deserved. Kendra, like a friend said, was genuine, loving and bold.
There are six beautiful children mourning their mother, a husband who lost his partner of twenty one years, parents who lost their loving daughter. Please, if you can contribute, even a small amount, it is so appreciated.
Every dollar goes to Russell to take care of the children and anything he needs during this time.
