On July 31st my Fiancé Kendra had our 2nd child via emergency c-section. After a few days of recovery in the hospital they performed an MRI on her brain because she was having stroke like symptoms prior to giving birth and on several occasions with our first child but was never evaluated. The MRI they performed unfortunately found a larger than normal tumor growth I believe they call Vestibular schwannoma ( benign tumor) in the back of her left ear that had grown so large that it had attached to the brain stem and was putting alot of pressure on her brain that would cause these symptoms. So we packed everything up and the kids and left immediately to Iowa City University hospital on August 4th . She has had a procedure to remove fluid from her brain and a successful surgery to remove most of the mass of the tumor minus a small bit too close to some facial nerves. Today is August 20th and she is still in the hospital in Iowa City but were hoping for a release in the next few days to go home finally to our children and family that we have missed so much! Long road to recovery and rehab not knowing what the future may hold with bills/ everyday expenses piling up and 2 little boys to support during all this plus myself taking off work for this long ( hotel expenses, food, etc) We would greatly appreciate any sort of help even if its just a $1 donation every little bit helps!
