Kendal's Double Lung Transplant

Hello, my name is Alexa and my sister-in-law, Kendal, has just received a double lung transplant. She has been on the transplant list for years as she has pulmonary fibrosis. On Thursday 3/2/23, she received the news they had lungs available for her. It was a miracle. She went into surgery on 3/3/23 and about 8 hours later, she was in the ICU in recovery. She is handling this recovery like a champ! The nurse has said she is the best double lung transplant patient she has seen in her 11 years of nursing.

The road is far from over, however. Kendal and Dalton, my youngest brother, have to stay in the hospital for at least 2 weeks. After she is discharged, she must stay near the medical center for at least 3 months. I am raising money to help them both with their medical, food, transportation and housing expenses.

Dalton and Kendal got married in August 2020. Dalton wanted to marry Kendal as early as he could, so he could be there for Kendal during all of her medical procedures. As their vows state, through sickness and in health. We are very thankful God has watched over Kendal and Dalton as they continue and grow through this journey.
