Kendall's Journey

Hello, my name is Sheryl Watson. I have 2 children, a 4 year old daughter named Aliyana and a 5 year old son named Kendall Jr. We are from Hot Springs, Ar and we currently reside in Little Rock, Ar. On October 24th, 2016 we lost their father due to gun violence and life has been hard ever since. On November 3, 2018 My son's life changed forever. When I woke up that day. Kendall was in the bed next to me asleep. Once I seen that he was drooling and sleeping good, I decided not to bother him. I was downstairs talking to my sister when my daughter tells me that Kendall was awake and was in the bathroom throwing up. As I go upstairs to check on him, I noticed that he was just sitting on the toilet with all of his cloths on which was strange. So I asked him if he was ok, but he just sat there saying nothing. I asked him again, only this time I checked to see if he was warm. He was really warm and clammy. I carried him to his room and took off all his clothes and gave him some Tylenol. As he was laying there I asked him was he in pain, if his throat was hurting but he just looked at me and turned to the window. I looked at his eyes and noticed they had gotten really big, but as I'm looking at his eyes he opens his mouth, closes it and turns back to the window. Something just didn't feel right and it wasn't normal for Kendall not to talk so I took him to CHI. St. Vincent hospital; On the way he had a Seizure. Once we got to the ER and got Kendall stabilized, the doctors ran a CT scan and found a Tumor on the right side of his brain. We were then transferred to Children's Hospital. Once we got there more test were ran, MRI's, Biopsy and more CT scans. After spending a week there, we're told that Kendall has Stage three Brain Cancer(Anaplastic Epydmoma) and that it had spread to his spine. That's some of the worst news a Mother could receive about her child. However, seeing how WELL and POSITIVE my baby is responding to everything that's transpired is amazing. He fought really hard against all the doctors, nurses and even his medicine. Although, he was unaware that he was fighting it because he was in a medically induced coma. The same day he got the biopsy, he was trying to get up even though he couldn't actually get out of bed. He stayed up all night playing different games on his tablet. When he received his iport, he came home that day ready to play and be himself. Every time I look at my baby he smiles. He knows that something isn't right with his body and he keeps on pushing EVERYDAY! All he wants to do is go back to school. He's the class Secretary, and the Leagendary Leader. He has all A's and loves his teacher and classmates. He just wants to get back to his life, to being himself. Kendall, you are not alone baby. I am here and will continue to fight this battle with you. God is on our side and with him anything and all is possible. Your support system is so amazing, I couldn't have asked for better people to love you and take on this Journey with you. This is our War and we WILL NOT be defeated. My five year old baby may have cancer, but CANCER DOES NOT HAVE YOU!!! So please everyone, please fight beside Kendall, join him, support him and help us BEAT THIS! This account was set up because I haven't been able to work as much due to my son's sickness. So every donation is greatly appreciated seeing that the bills will never stop coming. Kendall is also wanting to take a trip for his birthday which is March 8. The family and I made a promise to make it happen for him. So by donating to his campaign you all will be helping in making his wish come true. Thank you and God bless us all.
