Kendall Todd's Treatment Fund

Meet Kendall and her husband, Clayton. They’ve been married for a year and a half and moved to Louisville, KY this fall for Clayton to attend the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Kendall is traveling to the New York Center for Innovative Medicine (https://nycim.com) for 3 to 4 weeks to receive treatment for her Lyme Disease, CRPS, and Dysautonomia. Help us raise $30,000 to cover the program's cost!

Why is Kendall seeking treatment? Kendall’s many illnesses have forced her to quit working due to her ongoing pain, lethargy, and stomach issues; her CRPS doesn’t allow her to walk for more than 10 minutes before it becomes unbearable; and at the young age of 26, she has to carefully choose between only a couple of outings a week (like grocery shopping, going to church, or getting coffee with a friend) to not entirely diminish the small amount of energy she has.

Backstory:

Kendall has been struggling with health issues for years. Her life and health changed dramatically beginning in 2018, after she was bitten by a tick while serving at a Christian summer camp in Texas. Following that summer, she became severely ill while in her senior year of college and was initially diagnosed with mono, and then asthma, and then allergies. In January 2019, she began having severe stomach issues, and it wasn’t until the summer of 2020 that she was finally diagnosed with a leaky gut, a parasite, exposure to toxic mold, and Lyme Disease. A doctor tried treating her Lyme Disease at that time without any success. However, some prescribed antibiotics did make her feel a *bit* better, though nothing like her previous self.

More health issues occurred in early 2021 when Kendall had foot surgery to remove a bunion, cut a tendon that wasn’t working, and remove scar tissue from her nerve. Two weeks later she was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a rare neurology disorder. It causes ongoing pain, discoloration, numbness, and sensitivity to touch. After this surgery, all of her previous symptoms also returned.

Desperate for answers, Kendall visited the Mayo Clinic in October of 2021. After extensive testing, she was told she would have to live with the pain, returning home without answers or a treatment plan.

In December of 2021, she flew to Boise, ID for a two-week program treating her CRPS. After the treatment, she could get off her crutches for 10 months, but something still didn’t seem right as she still had terrible headaches and continued to suffer from lethargy, bloating, and more.

She was then diagnosed with Dysautonomia in May of 2022 and officially diagnosed with Lyme Disease by two doctors after moving to Lousiville, KY (after other doctors more or less ignored her Lyme diagnosis for two years).

Seeking Treatment Now:

On November 28th, Kendall is traveling to the New York Center for Innovative Medicine (https://nycim.com) for 3 to 4 weeks for treatment. Kendall has met and spoken with someone healed of their Lyme Disease through this program, so we are very hopeful! This institution will also be able to provide Kendall with treatments to help with her CRPS and Dysautonomia.

The total cost of the program is $30,000. We are humbly asking that family, friends, and strangers alike will come together to 1) Pray 2) Give and 3) Share.

Thank you for joining us on this journey! We pray that this is the next step towards healing for Kendall so she can finally live free of pain!
