The Kendall Gender Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for at-risk individuals seeking treatment at a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. Through our partnership with Last Door Recovery, we aim to cover a portion of the cost of one person’s treatment at the end of each calendar year.

Did you know an estimated 20-30% of the LGBTQ2SIA+ community struggles with substance abuse, compared to approximately 9% of the general population? On average, it costs $30,000 for an individual to complete 90 days of treatment. Financial barriers often prevent people from accessing life-saving care, which is why we started this initiative to ease the burden and provide opportunities for recovery.

We raise money through a variety of initiatives, including donation opportunities at Kendall Gender performances, dedicated fundraisers throughout the year, corporate sponsorships, and direct online donations. These efforts allow us to engage our community in person and online while amplifying our mission to provide essential funding for individuals in need.
