If you know Kendall, then I don't have to tell you how amazing his soul is. He is one of those people that you love to be around and you smile when you see him coming your way. He treats everyone with kindness and grants them grace. His energy is contagious and his positivity is what makes this world a better place. The world needs more people like him.
Note: He was always very careful in wearing his mask and being cautious - but he also loved to make people laugh during difficult times.
After feeling ill for a couple of days, Kendall was taken to the Derby ER on January 16th and then transferred to the MICU at Wesley to be treated for Covid-19 and Pneumonia where he was in a fight for his life. Even though he was having a hard time breathing and coughing, he still made efforts to reach out to his granddaughter who he remembered was scheduled to get her braces on while he was in there, just to tell her how beautiful she looked. He remembered every.single.thing. He never missed a game, concert, event EVER. He was his grandkids’ biggest fan.

On Saturday, January 23rd, the lung doctors informed Kendall's daughter and son that he advised Kendall to be intubated (put in a drug-induced coma and put on a ventilator to breathe for him) due to him being maxed out with the current treatment and still struggling to breathe. He got to FaceTime his children and let them know how much he loved them. He made sure to tell his daughter how beautiful she was...he was always the truest of gentlemen.

It is with a heavy heart on January 28th, 2021, we lost our dear Papaw Kendall Cooper with his children by his side. His grandchildren got to FaceTime him to say their I love yous and goodbyes and the second the nurse pressed End on the call, Kendall took his last breath and peacefully went to heaven.
Our poor family will forever have a hole missing the patriarch of our family. If you can find it in your heart to donate to help ease the burden of medical, funeral, and family expenses, our family would be forever grateful. If you are not able, please keep us in your prayers. Thank you for all the outpouring of love and support that we have received over the last two weeks. Kendall was so loved.
Always fishing!
