Kendal Mountain 10k Trail Run

Hi my names Justin, I'm 47 and am British Army Veteran. I am doing the Kendal Mountain 10k in aid of Hero Paws. When we come off operational turn or leave the military, we have family and friends to come home to, but what about or military dogs? Mans best friend seems to have been forgotten about, become an after thought, after they've served beside us, hung up like a piece of kit. they too need a family and then who supports the family once they are there, training, medical expenses, insurance, advice and support?
